I just want to start by saying what a true gem Ms. Tentler is and I wish I were a publisher so I could snatch her up. I'm not nearly the easiest reviewer and don't give out excellent reviews that often. With that being said, all three books in this series I've given 5-star ratings. There's only one story that I have yet to read by this author but luckily another is getting read to be released and I literally can't wait. However, I'm trying to pace myself since I have no idea how long it'll be before her next one.

Although this is book three in the "Chasing Evil" trilogy, it can definitely standalone. The only connection between the stories is the fact that all three heroes are FBI agents that work for the VCU (Violent Crimes Unit) and work under the same SAC (Special Agent in Charge.) None of the main characters cross over or anything, so all three can be read in any order. In "Edge of Midnight" we meet Eric who is after the serial killer who murdered his wife and Mia, a journalist who is the killers only surviving victim.

I adored these two both as a couple and as individuals. My heart dang near broke for Eric and Mia I respected the heck out of. While this was different in the fact that we know who the killer is, it still held me enthralled the entire time and had my emotions all over the place. I loved watching these two fall in love while I feared the psycho they were hunting. Overall just a wonderfully taut and romantic thriller that was both beautiful and scary. I simply cannot recommend this book or author highly enough!

I love this author. This is the second time I’m reading her books and enjoying anew. Only bad thing about this author is, that she’s writing rarely. I would like more of her books!
Excellent all the way through! Loved it. Love the smoothness of the story and characters and of course the twist and turns.

First of this authors books that I have read and definitely won't be the last. Very suspenseful and at times gruesome but necessary to a plot about a sadistic serial killer. The romance was believable and I really liked both of the main characters. If you like this type of book then this is a must read. Now I get to go back and read the other books in this series!I love finding new authors and this author is one to add to my must read list. Enjoy!
What a good book. I think the author did a really good job of writing. This book kept my interest. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
I have read over 500 books in the last 4+ year's and haven't wanted to take the time to complete a review but this book was so good that I needed to tell the writer what a superb job she has done with this story.

For me a story must keep the reader intrigued throughout the book. No filler such as marathon sex scenes, scenery unrelated, etc. She kept me tied. Good job...no GREAT job!
Leslie Tentler has done it again. The third Chasing Evil novel, Edge of Midnight was suspenseful, chilling and very emotional. This was a particularly harder novel to read, although very enjoyable. It was definitely gorier than the other two novels. This was also very well written and hard to put down.

Again, I absolutely loved the hero and heroine in this novel. Eric and Mia were two strong characters with each going through their own horrors. Both of them had a stake in fighting to capture the serial killer for their own reason. This was a very emotional novel. It was fast paced, and action packed throughout. I highly recommend Leslie Tentler and her Chasing Evil Trilogy.
4.50 CREEPY STARS! I was looking at GR recommendations for romantic suspense books and came across Edge of Midnight. I haven't read the other books in this series so not sure if they are related or not but Edge of Midnight seems to stand on its own just fine. It's actually one of the better romantic suspense/thriller books I've read lately. The villian is CREEPY and some of the details in the book are grisly. There is definitely a romance but the book isn't sexually explicit. I thought the author did a good job of balancing the suspense story with the romance that develops between the two main characters. I also thought the multiple POV worked well (the heroine, the hero, and the villian). While Edge of Midnight had less heat than Cynthia Eden's Deadly series, it definitely had a similiar vibe to me.

Overall, I really enjoyed Edge of Midnight and plan to read other books in this series very soon. I love finding a new author that "gets it right" and for me, this author did. Looking forward to reading more
